If I were to lose weight which I'm 365 now, and I do some vigorous exercise, that my doctor said was okay for me to do. If I did some intense cardio, as I lose the weight will my body tone at all in 30 days, like anything? I'm going to a wedding then. Any help would be nice. I asked my doctor if I was able to do 2-3 hours a day, and he said I should be fine. Any help? can you still be overweight according to chart but still be lean and fit? I'm 6 foot 2 by the way.

your doctor is an idiot for approving 2-3hrs of cardio daily.
You might lose 10-15lbs (water weight and some fat) if you make sure you eat at a caloric deficit. You are not lean and fit right now because there's no way you have a super low body fat at that weight, and you will not change your body significantly in 30 days.
Weight loss takes time. If you cannot accept that then you will most likely fail at it, unfortunately.0 -
Yeah, my doctor is a bit of a goofball if you ask me. lol0

just focus on making sure you eat at a healthy deficit (20-30% deficit from maintenance needs - health-calc.com or exrx.net are good calculators for this), and if you calculate maintenance needs without including exercise then just be sure you eat back any logged exercise an be honest about your energy level (so 2 hours can be light, moderate, or vigorous, so assess your energy levels accurately and truthfully).0

Your doctor is a crackpot. You can't do anything in 30 days. And at your weight you will have a heart attack.0

Is malpractice the right term for my doctor?0

IA. if you want to do 3hrs of cardio, make it low intensity - go for a walk in the morning, another one at lunch or at night, something that is comfortable. take breaks as needed. Log it as best you can, maybe a heart rate monitor would be worth purchasing.0 -
If you weight 365 pounds, it is unlikely that you'll lose enough in a month for anyone to notice.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't start working on it. The journey of 1000 miles and all that.
You might consider walking. That's a great first step. Swimming is great for fat people. The fat doesn't hold us back in the water like it does everywhere else. Swimming is easy on the joints, doesn't make you feel hot and sweaty and burns tons of calories.
Good luck.0 -
OP - your dr is an idiot.
keep eating in a deficit and doing cardio. If you have not done so, I would suggest getting a food scale and weighing/measuring everything. You would also benefit from a strength training regimen...0 -
if you start exercising that much you are very likely to hurt yourself. You need to gradually build up so your body can get used to the increased activity.
+1 the swimming0
