Under calorie goal but still put weight on!

Hello. I have been logging my food intake for three weeks now and until today i have seen progress. I am constantly under my calorie intake for each day however, i have managed to put weight on this week.

I am a bit confused to how this has happened! I gym three times a week to make sure i get the exercise element into this diet.

I am wondering if i am getting the 'right' type of fat into my diet. I have struggled to hit my 'fat target' and tend to grab a Kit Kat from the shop to help me.

Any help/advice/tips would be gratefully received!

Thanks
Darren

What type of exercise are you doing? Is it possible that you've gained weight in muscle?

    its probably a normal fluctuation...

have you eaten anything particularly high in sodium recently? a kitkat, which fits into your daily calories is not going to make you gain weight.

    seriously NO

OP keep doing what you're doing and it will come, this is normal fluctuation.

Don't give up! This just happens sometimes. I only lost 0.2 lbs after a really good week recently and was so disappointed. I got on the scale again a few days later and it was showing a gain! Then a week later a 2 lb loss showed up on the scale. Keep going.

It is probably nothing a good trip to the loo won't sort out. Just keep going!

cheers for the advice and support. I will stick at both my diet and my fitness plan and hopefully all will be well. Its just a bit soul destroying when you look at the scales and see the movement has gone the wrong way!

thats why you shouldnt depend on the scale as your only measure of progress...

measure/take pictures/set fitness goals as well.

Start taking measurements. Trust me on this.

I was thinking about start to take measurements. What would be best to measure? Thigh, waist, chest...

The scale can be one evil mofo' >:)

Start taking measurements and maybe a selfie every week to see your progress. Sometimes the scale barely moves for me but I've lost a lot of inches and can see a major difference with 'before & after' pics.
