    For me, I find that I don't want to waste any of my calories, sugars, fats.. on drinks so I stick to plain water. This journey is going to be different for everyone of us. It's a matter of tweaking all the information you will get and figuring out what will work best for you :)

    Fluids are fluids and it does not need to be plain water. You also do not need 8 glasses a day - some people need more, some less, depending on individual circumstances.
