Halls life/diet

Okay so I'm at a hall of residence (dorm for the americans!) and I'm trying to lose weight. I've stopped eating at the hall entirely and am eating microwaved food, because I found I had more energy, started losing weight (as the food at the hall has little to no nutrients and is incredibly high in calories) and am actually able to concentrate on my studies. I only have another couple of days here but can anyone recommend some foods you can cook in the microwave that are healthy and preferably cheap? Getting sick of rice, tuna and spinach hahahaha

Any veggies can be steamed in there. Do you have a hot plate? What about cold foods?0

"Hall of residence" sounds so much classier than "dorm". I like that!
At my college we just called it "The Pit".0 -
Jacket potato - and beans / cottage cheese / salad/ tuna

As rabbit said bake a potato then you can put anything in it; chili, cheese, veggies, etc. You can scramble eggs in a cup and cook them (stir after 45 sec) and have that with bacon or sausages. Any kind of a wrap, add lunchmeat and veggies and cheese. Then you have all your normal cold stuff, such as Greek yogurt with fruit and nuts in it. Cold sandwiches.0

@lydiabailey21 I saw this the other day on tv, maybe it'll help, don't know about calories though: http://www.sunnyanderson.com/blog/sunny-shared-5-microwavable-mug-breakfasts-rachael-ray-show/
Here's some more:

And think of creative substitutions, instead of mac and cheese in a mug, do cauliflower and cheese in a mug.0
