Hey everyone!

I know there are a lot of people from other countries on here. That's why I decided to ask for help and hopefully find someone that can help me :) I want to start eating this for breakfast. I'm not sure of the name, but it's similar to oatmeal, but it's whole-grain and made with wheat instead of oats. I'm really confused by the calorie label since it says a lot of different things. So I was wondering if someone can tell me how many calories 60 grams would be (without milk of course). :)

it's confusing because it gives calories for product both prepared with milk (bereid) as well unprepared (onbereid).

Yeah that is confusing! It's stupid they do that since the type of liquid you add will change the amount of calories.

I believe Brinta is around 330 calories per 100 grams. So would 60 grams be 180 calories?

The label says that unprepared, 100 g = 350 kcal. So 1 g = 3.5 kcal, and if you multiply by 60, you get 210 kcal.

The label also says that the nutrition information for the prepared cereal is if the cereal is "prepared following recipe given" (bereid volgens vermeld recept), using 250 ml of half-fat milk (about 2%) and 40 g of dry cereal.

    Simple math. 330 kcal ÷ 100 g = 3.3 kcal/g × 60 g = 198 kcal.
