Weight loss help

Hi my name is Q and I have a question I weigh 320lbs and I have struggled with this weight problems all my life and I am tired of it. Is it safe to lose 2lbs per week or is that not realistic. I am almost 26 years old and Its time for a change. please Help me.

    Yes, that is safe. You could probably aim for more even. 1% of your weight per week is often considered a safe weight loss pace.

    Yes it is realistic, I did that and more at my heaviest. Just do it in a safe manner (good nutrition, no fad/crash diets, exercise) and you will do fine. Keep in mind you will have ups and downs, you will not be perfect, and some days its really hard. Just don't give up, no matter how many times you slip and fall. As long as you keep trying you won't fail.

    thanks so much. I just feel so unhealthy and it is depressing. I have also became an emotional eater. it really sucks. thanks for the encouraging words. I really need it.

    Humans are all 'emotional eaters', if you ask me. Show me a baby that doesn't cry when it's hungry and stop when it's fed. But, yeah, we as adults do often treat too many feelings with food-- boredom, fear, anger, etc.

    You can do this. You'll feel better in 2 weeks, so don't let the numbers intimidate you. Just losing 10% of your weight makes you so much healthier. :)
