Where can I go to find a good beginners weight-lifting guide? I figured I would alternate upper body and lower body days, but I wasn't sure what routines were best for beginning weight loss. Thanks guys!

new to lifting? a full body program 3 days a week is recommended. Starting Strength, Stronglifts 5x5, Ice Cream Fitness, etc.0

Full body is the way to go for a beginner. The routines stated above are good ones but I would suggest checking out All Pro's A Simple Beginner Routine. It is designed so that you progress weekly by adding reps to all lifts rather than adding weight. For someone just starting out this is probably a better option because it allows for plenty of practice on the important lifts. The other routines will add weight to the bar every workout, it might not be the best approach till you get some good form happening.0
