It's not. Just do a web search and figure out what YOU burn during Zumba. That's how I log it. Now, it's in my personal list so I can add it each time.
From what I understand MFP knows that we all want it on the official list...

And no, don't log it as 'dancing' it's wayyyy more sweaty and intense!!!0

Yea I wasn't comfortable as putting as just dancing....cuz I sweated the most I've ever!!0

I enter it as aerobics, and then judge the intensity based on how damp and tired I am at the end of class.0

I enter Aerobics - High Impact. Just as a reference point. Hope that helps. :-)0

I also list it as aerobics.0

from what I have been able to tell, Aerobics, Dancing, Modern Twist shows up as very intense. The belly dance is listed pretty weakly as cal burn but if I feel i have worked as hard as I would doing the above catagory, ie. super sweaty out of breath and will likely be sore, then I log it as the aerobic. if not, then I log it as belly dance, that goes for "wimpy dancing" as well, ie dancing while vacuuming, or doing dishes etc and not at a crazy pace.0

no, don't enter it as aerobics! Add it for yourself after you look online to see how much you burn.0

For those of you that put it in your own list-how many calories do you put for an hour of intense zumba? I mean I was soaked in sweat when I was done.0

Zumba can range from 500-1000 cal per hour based on your weight/intensity! I entered it in under my own so that I could re-use it & shot for the low end & ate my calories & hoped that I burned more!0

I personally burn 546 in one hour of Zumba (found that online for female in my weight and height).0

I'm looking online for somewhere that I could input my weight-age-and height so it can be calculated...where is that? And dos anyone use a body bugg? how accurate are they?0

I wear a heart rate monitor and I burn anywhere from 450-600 calories an hour. I am 4'11.5, 111 lbs and I dance ALL out the whole time. It will vary everytime because of the playlist, the teacher and how much effort you put into it. Best thing to do is get yourself a heart rate momitor. Best investment I've made. They have inexpensive ones. Good luck!0

Were you able to enter your weight or are you lucky enough to be close to the weight that I keep finding (150-160lbs)? I'm quite a bit more than that (though losing it well!!) so I'm not wanting to underestimate what I burn, but I don't want to overdo it either on days where I cut it close to getting enough calorieas it is!0
