We had another aftershock last night 5.3 and it was very scary. In sept 4 2010 we had a 7.1 and it was so bad but not much damage but liquifaction was everywhere except where i live in the out skirts of Christchurch we very rocky out here but some suburbs are swampy and sandy and they were very much smothered in it. In Feb we had what they called an aftershock but it was a different fault that moved and it was a 6.3 and 220 people died in christchurch as it hit at lunch time. we have had over 1400 aftershocks since feb and many many more since sept 2010. Well last night i ate a big bag of chips and comfort ate, which i know i shouldn't have but its very scary

Hey hon!!! Just read that on line in the news. You guys have gone through SO much and now this! I'm in Westport and I haven't been over to CC since the big one and I really am afraid to go. Everytime I see pictures all I do is cry. If you need some support, please add me as a friend. And you know what? After last night, I would have joined you on the couch with not only the chips, but a HUGE bottle of wine!

OMG - I grew up in San Francsico - but had NOTHING compared to what you had at ChristChurch! I can only imagine!!! Good for you to ONLY eat the chips! I'm not sure I would do as well. Thinking about you and sending prayers your way for safe keeping!! Keep up the good work!!

Hey there now - don't be so hard on yourself. :flowerforyou:
Earthquakes are scary stuff! I was living in the East Bay (Calif) when '89 Loma Prieta happened - YIKES! I would say it is definitely in the top 3 scary things I have lived through.

Give yourself some time. I remember I didn't sleep well for a long time after that. The one thing I would say is to be kind to yourself and keep up w/ the exercise, as you probably more stressed out than you might think.

It wasn't fun was it?! Was home alone again. We lost power for an hour. You know it's decent when you lose power. I sat in candlelight for an hour, but I was glad when it came back on cos I wanted to make my dinner! I'm so over this!
