I get nauseous too if I go past hungry. So to avoid overeating later I add small snacks between meals. About 100- 150 cals. Also try milk in the morning instead of tea or coffee. It is said help gerd0

If you have acid reflux and coffee is giving you that reaction even tho you've taken omeprazole, you have to quit coffee... the caffeine will only aggravate your reflux more. If you feel bread helps, then by all means eat the bread... it's not bad food.0

Another possibility is hypoglycemia. My daughter has this and would become very nauseous (and still does) if she goes too long without eating. This is caused by too much insulin being released and then blood sugar dropping too low. She has to eat small meals. Sometimes she eats glucerna bars to help regulate blood sugar. She also cannot eat refined sugar because of course this triggers insulin release and her body releases too much at once and then she has the severe drop again.0

Interesting - my mother had hypoglycemia and I've always had symptoms, but I've had bloodwork done on more than one occasion that says I don't have it.
I also thought I might've been pregnant (even though I take the pill every day) because of this and other symptoms of pregnancy I was experiencing (missed period, dizziness, mood swings) but I took a pregnancy test and it was negative..
The nausea when hungry has always been there, dieting or not. I've changed my morning diet a bit and it seems to be helping!0
