Hi, I started the online food and exercise logs a couple of weeks ago, but this is the first time I've written. Just keeping track of the "stuff" that goes in my mouth has helped me to lose a few pounds so I'm on my way!
I hoping today was a turning point for me. I broke my foot 2 weeks before Christmas and got the cast off two weeks ago. My doc said I could start walking again (anything but running and dancing), just to start out slow. However, it's been to painful to walk for more than 20 minutes! Today it didn't hurt, so I added 5 more minutes and am hoping that the pain will continue to decrease. I've heard that it can take up to a year for the pain to go away completely - hoping not!!
Does anyone have a suggestion for foods that are low in calories, but really beat the hungries. Those 100 calorie packs are great when you have a craving, but they aren't satisfying when I'm just plain hungry!
Thanks

I just started a week and a half ago.... I just started tracking on here a few days ago...... but I feel I am doing great! I am losing faster than I am supposed to but who can complain about that. This is my average day if you want an example to help.
Breakfast: Weight control Oatmeal ~ Quaker makes a few kinds
And a piece of fruit
Lunch: A big salad with various healthy ingredients! You can even get creative and add mandrin oranges, apples, raisins...... anything really!
And a piece of fruit
Dinner: Lean Cusine, Smart Ones, Healthy Choice meals ~ there are TONS....... they are small but I usually add an extra veggy, salad, or a piece of fruit! They even have pizza!
There are PLENTY of healhy non fattening snacks! As long as you eat really healthy during the day eating only healthy snacks you can even have desert! I always have left over calories and treat my self to some thing little for being so good that day. It makes it easier to think you have that coming to you at the end of the day too!
If you get sick of salads you can always have the meals twice a day.
Hope this gave you some kind of help or ideas. I am really happy with this diet and it is almost too easy! I wish I would have realized before. I log on atleast 3 times a day and it makes it easier to keep track.0 -
I like to eat scrambled egg beaters mixed with a small slice of canadian bacon and sometimes I add veggies depending on how much time I have. The total calories are less than 100!
If you like breakfast sandwiches you can eat a 100% whole wheat English muffin, 2 egg whites, a slice or two of canadian bacon and a half slice of cheese, this is really filling and appoximately 250 calories! The protein really keeps me going .
I usually have a mid morning snack of Dannon Light and Fit Yogurt mixed with a 1/4 cup of Bare Naked Granola. I try to stay away from the starches like crackers and breads. If I do eat bread, it is 100% whole wheat. Also the 100 calorie popcorn bags are really good too.0 -
Thanks, for the suggestions, especially like the breakfast sandwhich. Never thought about using Canadian Bacon. Heading to the grocery tomorow!0
