in your food diary usually is the most calories per day? I usually eat anywhere between 500-600 (closer to 500) during breakfast time to fuel the rest of my day and have my lunch and dinner meals around 300-400 cal.

Would be interesting to see what everyone else's numbers are!

Depends. Sometimes it's 300/300/300 with room for snacks. Sometimes it's 200/200/700 (like today... ouch) with room for snacks. Others it's 500/300/300, or 300/500/300. It just depends on the day and what my plans are. If I know one of my meals is going to be large, I try to make the other ones smaller. If I start out with a large breakfast, it's hard to get the other meals to stay small because I feel hungrier throughout the day. If I'm on the go a lot, I might not have a proper meal, but instead just have 100 calories every hour... but, in general, 300/300/300 + snacks is about right for me.

I do the most at breakfast, in fact I eat like 3 little meals from 6a-11a which are all "breakfast" including oatmeal around 11 which lets me eat half of what I am going to eat for lunch around 1:30 and the other half around 4pm. This makes me eat very little for dinner. Seems to work for me and keep the metabolism high.

My snacks seem to add up to the most calories

Dinner definitely. I eat with my family after my son's swim practice and we eat normal, healthy meals-I just eat smaller portions than I used to. Snacks add up too because I lump all my snacks for the day into one bin rather than "am snack, pm snack, post dinner snack"

I lump all my snack together to.

I have always heard from friends and family and even my nutritionist that breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day...wonder how true this is? I guess what I'm doing is working so no need to change it until I plateau, I suppose!

mine is heaviest at dinner. i am a night time snack-aholic and i know i had better have as many calories available as possible when i get home from work. i usually have around 200 cal for breakfast and 300 for lunch which leaves me a wonderfully delicious 1000-1100 cal for dinner and snacks.
