some were surprising that they were THAT bad. Luckily I have never drank any of those except the bottled starbucks coffee and that is only once or twice a year. I am soooo showing that to my kids though lol

Holy Moley!!! 2000 calorie drink! (the one from coldstone)

I have actually drank a lot of these, I have no idea they were bad

Especially the SoBe and the Arizona products, I always *thought* they were healthy-ish, i guess thats what they want you to think.

    Thanks so much!! Very informative

OMG this is the craziest thing I've ever seen. I can't believe that there is a drink out there that contains more calories than what I eat in one day. I will stick to what I drink = water, thank you very much!

Although many of those were things I simply don't like, it was definitely shocking to see exactly how lethal some of these drinks are. I will definitely be thinking about the fact that *any* shake at Coldstone = 1000+ calories, should I stumble in there and get tempted! That 900 calorie margarita at Red Lobster was another puzzler.

    Thanks for sharing.

wow, definitely an eye-opener! i will stick to my water and green tea. :)

fruit smoothies can be another dangerous drink -- as healthy as they sound. i've seen nutritional info for jamba juice smoothies that are near 1000 calories! juice is high-glycemic and contains lots of calories, so it's better to stick with a kid's or small size, with some yogurt or protein powder mixed in to slow down the digestion process. otherwise, you will get hungry again very quickly.

Just a bump for the after work people to see too... =0)
  • Wow, that is crazy. Thank god I have only had one or two of these and even those only once or twice a year. I will stay away from all of that from now on. Water for this girl! :drinker:
