Hey!
So I'm getting into aerial hoop (LOVING the results so far!) and was wondering if there was anyone else getting into the aerial arts as well?
Thought it'd be nice to make a little network to share goals, improvements (body wise & in terms of overall fitness) and help each other with any issues.

I'm hoping there is at least a few others. The only threads I can see about it are from 2013. :(

Hi! I've myfitnesspal, but I've been doing aerial silks for just over a year now. It's a great way to build strength, but in my experience you don't get a ton of cardio in because you can only be up there so long. Great workout when you are! I'd like to lose about 10lbs and maintain all the muscle I've gained. It's a bit difficult though as I'm having a hard time fitting in additional exercise as I already do aerial about 4x a week.

I assume aerial hoop is the lyra?

I love lyra! My classes are mostly focused on silks but I'm hoping to start on lyra specific ones soon! I also pole dance. If you like lyra I def recommend trying out pole too. A lot of it translates well.

Yes lyra. :) I only do lyra classes (currently once a week) but hoping to build that up with extra sessions after I finish 'beginner' classes. Also have a pull-up bar at home which honestly has helped me so much.
The studio I go to is hoop & pole, I am the only person in my class who hadn't done pole! haha but pole just doesn't really appeal to me.

I discovered lyra about eight months ago - total convert, love it! :-)
