Eating back exercise calories?

I know I've read it before I just cant find anything about it....do you eat back your exercise calories...why do you think you should or shouldn't?

I do....some people do not...it really is just a preference. I love food, and sometimes workout an extra day so I have a bit more calories for dinner or something. For me it works, for others it does not. In the end, if you have a caloric deficit over the long run...you will lose weight. If you have a caloric surplus, you will gain weight. It really IS that simple.0

Remember that MFP overestimates your burns, so most people only eat back half.-1

It really depends on how many calories we're talking about. If it is a few hundred calories, it might be easier to just ignore them. If it is a couple thousand calories, you'd better eat some of them back or your body may refuse to function correctly.0
