I tried two other forums but Maybe I was In the wrong place. Looking for help and suggestions.
So. I have always been Around 118 lbs never more maybe a little less. My issue was when my doctor took me off my birth control (used for medical purposes and hormone control) and I blew up 40+ lbs. never been SO depressed in my life. Anyways I begged and made them put me back because I hated how I looked and it was mainly because I was severely depressed and sick from no longer being on medication. I exercised and are clean only for two years only to gain weight. So once I got back on my depo I felt better and continued my eat clean exercise and lift daily (protein etc) I kept gaining weight not muscle. I honestly gave up. No exercise and been eating badly for the past six months and I've lost 14 lbs. (12 in two weeks!!) I look better which is nice but how is this possible? I'd rather continue exercising and eating healthy but my unhealthy lifestyle is making me skinnier which is not a complaint and by the day so I'm trying to get back to my 118 lbs! I'm attributing it probably to my hormones finally being stable again and probably why I'm dropping the weight fast becUse my body has never been above the 120s. However my doctor said another thing. Whenever I take meds that make you sleep I'm wide awake and when I take stimulate meds I fall asleep. Can my reverse reactions to every thing be a possible cause for why I am losing weight by not exercising and not eating well ? Also just cause depo usually causes weight gain and I'm the only one my doctors have seen lose weight and be thin by being on it. Any advice is greatly appreciated and maybe I just have a weird reverse system. Regardless how can I build muscle?ive tried every class and program and I can't build any anymore. Frustrating cause skinny is awesome but i would like to be toned! Thanks

I'd put this in the too hard basket. Honestly, if what you say is how it is, its unlikely that anyone here could possibly make sense of your situation.
That said, I'm wondering why your doctor took you off birth control if it was working for you? Was it because you were getting too skinny for your height?0 -
Hello, did you ask your doctor about this? I'm no expert but probably hormonal imbalance. It might “robbing” the proteins in your body which is needed to be healthy. Try asking your doctor first. Hey guys - thanks for the responses very much appreciated! I've seen 10+ Specialists and no one gets it. My hormones were a mess but then got better but No doctor will put a 26 yr old on thyroid meds. My mom and four generations of our family has it so I thought it could be a factor. I have hashimotos which causes extreme weight gain but weird I keep losing. My mom who I know has hashimotos (as I was writing this) told me she once gained weight but now she's 108 lbs. so maybe this is something that is there but won't be noticed for severity until time. Tim/ I will check this out. Pat- you're sweet I know I am in the too hard basket wish my life was regular. Anyways I think that just the response from you both helped me a lot. My self esteem has been quite low and I at least appreciate suggestions and responses even though my situation is different. God bless and good luck to you both. I'll still be on here figuring out my stupid mystery so if you need encouragement or help let me know! I once knew what it was like to be in shape and I'm a darn good gymnast. Thanks again guys0

Oops never answered your question patience. My doctor took me off cause depo I was on for eight years. Shouldn't be on for more than 5 cause of bone density loss. I'm 26 and almost have full blown osteoporosis. Only reason they put me back on is cause once they took me off I gained 40 lbs, and started vomiting 103 fever and in the emergency room again, cysts etc. Birth control is my only option for treatment and only that one cause I can't take estrogen.0
