Mostly empty fridge exercise

OK - so I didn't have the time to go shopping today and now it's late and I'm hungry and cold and I reeeeeally do not want to go back out there.

So far it looks like I'm having honey dew melon, tangerines, carrots sticks, old meatballs, canned mushrooms and taco sauce. Not the best dinner ever, but it'll have to do seeing as I'm saving the one egg, the one tomato and the one slice of cheese for breakfast :P

What is your most creative dinner due to an empty fridge? Do you drag yourself out to go shopping or do you get creative?

Canned Tuna, olive oil, mustard, capers and zucchini. :) But that was years ago. :)

You don't have anything at all in your pantry? I always have pasta or canned tuna or something.

I've made plenty of strange things, mostly because I refuse to shop more than once a week.

Also, I've gotten very good at making things from scratch.

How "old" are the meatballs? If not that old - chop up the meatballs, add drained mushrooms and some spices adobe or thyme and salt and heat it up. If you have a bit of flour or starch you can even make a sauce. Carrot sticks as your vegetable or you can chop those with the mushroom and meatball. Honeydew and / or tangerine for dessert.
