I was wondering if anyone does this workout and how you log it? I put in weight lifting for 55 minutes and it give me 205 calories burned :noway: . I don't have a HRM but I do believe I burned more than that.
Anyone have a HRM and could give me an estimate of how much I could have burned? I weigh 164 right now.
Thanks

Weight lifting does not burn alot of calories unless you do a few minutes of cardio first and then go right in to weight lifting. Good luck

It kinda combines the two, either way my HR is up most of the time LOL

If you are asking someone who weighs about what you do to tell you their HRM # for that activity it is NOT accurate. Everyone's body and metabolism is different, thus why a HRM is used individually. Someone else's number for the same hike, same workout, same class can be totally different than you.

That's why even using the database isn't accurate. The numbers I get for my day's activities are way higher than the number I actually burn.

Circuit training would be closer, but you really need a HRM to know for sure. I understand though, if you're just trying to get a more accurate guess for now... I remember when I didn't have one and people just said you need to get a HRM... Even though it's true, it doesn't help you make a guesstimate in the meantime!! I weigh 189 now and I burn approx 450 in the 55 minutes when I push really hard through the whole workout with very few modifications, if that helps you at all. (great DVD, huh?) Good luck to you and look into getting a HRM, it'll make it all a bit easier!!
