Hello from sunny California!

My name is Lisa and this is a second try at this lovely community. Since I last joined my boyfriend and a family member had intense health scares/issues. I just joined a gym yesterday for the first time with my sister and I really want to to this for myself and for them. Life is important. I need to take control!

So I'm 24-years-old at 187 at 5'6 and hoping to get to 140. Had anyone successfully joined a gym? Do you have any words of wisdom/inspiration?

I hope to get to know many of you very closely and look forward to inspiring each other through our journeys!

    I am 5-7 and my starting weight was 186. I have joined gym, after gym, after gym. Then I joined a gym and signed up for MFP. It has really helped me realize what Im putting in my mouth. At least once or twice a week I go to the gym because of what I ate throughout the day or what I plan to eat. Find out what you like to do. My hubby loves to spend 2 hours a the gym weight training....that makes me want to scream. I love the bootcamp and weight training classes that keep me on my toes for an hour. I have met a few ladies there and the best thing is if you miss a day and they notice. Such a great accountability. Feel free to add me

    I started about 9 months ago. I joined a gym at the end of Summer. I try to exercise everyday. If I can't get to the gym, I walk. Welcome! You can add for support.
