Help - Fitbit Track Your Exercise Calories

Hello!
Sorry if this has already been discussed, I tried searching and couldn't find the topic.
I've recently been trying to new Fitbit Android Track your Exercise option to track my runs and the calories seem to be way off compared to endomondo/heart rate monitor. Fitbit seems to be giving waaaay less calories than the other two. So were both always way overestimating for me or does Fitbit not do a good job with the GPS run tracking/calorie estimation?
Anyone else's feedback/experience with the app would be appreciated. I'm not sure if I should just switch back to using endomondo.

It's hard to tell which is more likely correct, without some numbers. Are you wearing a Fitbit? I've never heard of Fitbit Android Track your Exercise option.0

Fitbit just came out the a gps tracking option to track exercises similar to what endomondo does. So yes, I'm wearing a fitbit but it's really tracking runs by gps on my phone.
I ran 5k today in 34 minutes burning 285 calories (According to fitbit). Last week, I ran 10k in an hour and 15 minutes burning 934 calories (according to endomondo).0 -

If you're not obese, the Fitbit estimates looks more realistic to me. Around 100 calories per mile is an often-used rough guideline. Endomondo has you 50% over that. 934/6.2=150 calories per mile. Fitbit's estimate has you just under it (91).

934 calories in 75 mins seems pretty high.
Granted I don't know your stats, but it seems high to me. I'd be skeptical of anything that told me I burned that much in a little over an hour.0 -
I'm not obese. I'm within the "normal" weight of BMI. I've used endomondo at the same time as my heart rate monitor though and they've been very close (within 20 cals) on runs. Maybe I'm just hoping that I'm burning the higher calorie count.0

Try .72 times weight in pounds times miles. If you're 130lbs. that's about the same calorie burn for the 5k as the Fitbit estimated.0
