Hey, I am recently try to get back in shape. I used to wrestle and play rugby when I was in high school and then I broke my back early my freshman year of college. I am a sophomore now and I am allowed to start working out again. Unfortunately my freshman 15 was more like freshman 50 since I couldn't work out so I'm going to start going on a diet. Does anyone know easy and cheap recipes for health food that I can cook ( I have a kitchen now).

Gina VanLuven has a great book that my wife and I started using. She is a great wealth of knowledge about living healthy. http://www.amazon.com/Rather-Scrub-Toilets-Than-Cook/dp/0615340792/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1415642824&sr=8-3-fkmr0&keywords=i'd+rather+clean+toilets+than+cook0

Don't get too hung up on the idea of "health" food. You know what is good to eat, as well as what isn't. Most fruits and vegetables are high in fiber, so they help you feel full. Get plenty of those and pair them with lean proteins, but leave yourself room to enjoy eating. Plan out what your "cheats" are in advance, so you don't make a bad decision. Having fun size Snickers bars around as an occasional treat may keep you from satisfying that craving with a pint of ice cream.
