Could high sodium cause my legs to swell up?

*Sorry if this isn't in the right category, it's the only place I thought it would fit.*
I've noticed my legs and hands (mostly legs) have felt a bit puffy lately and it's only gotten worse. I can not squat comfortably now because of it and it's starting to hold me back. I've noticed it's worse at night.
I was diagnosed with anorexia almost two weeks ago and had an EKG. It came back normal except my heart rate was slow (doctor said that could just be normal for me). My sodium HAS been high, but it's always been and I've been drinking more water than usualIs it just sodium or should I be worried?
I have an appointment set up soon and I'll talk to me real doctor, but I would like a better idea of what's exactly happening.

If you have changed something (more water) then it could be because of that. I would call the doc and ask about it though.

We aren't doctors, call your doctor!

My sodium was sky high before I started losing weight. It had always been high but suddenly it started effecting me. I can't tell you if your swelling was from sodium but I was getting very, very swollen from it. Like pitting edema up my legs, ankles hugely swollen and feet don't want to fit in shoes swollen.

And the bottom line is still... call your doctor!

Yup, call your doctor. Swelling so bad that it effects squats sounds pretty severe.
