one quarter of a Weider maximum protein bar will give you 10.5 g protein, 10 g carb, 2.1 g fat

I really like the "think thin" bars! They have 20grams protein and I dont remember how many carbs but I don't think it is very much and they are delicious! The only draw back is that they are pretty spendy, the cheapest place I have found them is Trader Joes.
  • Try bars from diets that focus on 0 carbs, like Atkins, South Beach. Or you can try Slim Fast, some are yummy. I like Balance but idk carbs on it.

but Google tells me BNRG bars might be what you're looking for. I've never tried them, so this isn't a recommendation

I buy the Weider max protein bars at my local Tesco, which is why I had the details to hand

You're gonna be really hard pressed to find a bar that fits those criteria. Shakes on the other hand usually have more protein and less carbs than what you're looking for. They even come in portable single servings. The ones I like are called Premier Nutrition 30g protein, 5g carbs, and 3g fat.

Yeah I already take protein shakes, but would like to have something to snack on to up my protein and even calorie intake on workout days, as I'm struggling to eat all my calories but stay in my carbs.

I really like Dr Carbrite bars! http://www.carbritediet.com/ They are around 200 cals depending on flavor (I like smores and cinnamon bun best). Around 20g carbs, but only 2.5g net carbs. Some of the ATKINS ones are okay too- the cinnamon bun is pretty good. Used to be a huge fan of Pureprotein but burned out after eating them for an entire summer!

Are they filled with sugar alcohols and other crap?

Ingredients aren't exactly "clean" (http://www.carbsmart.com/docdietbar.html) but no artificial sweetener (aspartame, sucralose/splenda or saccharin) and no hydrogenated oils or trans-fats so better than a lot of the low carb bars out there.

Maybe experiment with baking your own with protein powder? The only recipe I have tried to make my own protein bars called for bananas, so that's not going to work for you, but I imagine we could come up with something!

I like pure protein. They have 20 grams of protein and 16 carbs 4 grams of sugar.

One thing to keep in mind with all these bars is the fact that they may use hydrolysed gelatin which is a form of protein that as far as my research has shown cannot be used by the body properly.

Also while I completely agree with you about the high carb content of many bars, make sure you see where the carbs are coming from. Inclusion of oats for instance would be better than sugar carbs.
