What shoes do you prefer for running? Right now I am wearing Asics, but am open to suggestions. I have a wider foot, and wear an 11 womens, so sometimes it is hard to find a good shoe.

    I would go to a running store, where they have running shoes, and will put various ones on you, and watch you walk/run with them, to assess your gait, etc. There are sooooo many brands out there, and everyone performs differently, even in the same shoe.

    I love my Brooks for running.

    I prefer asics and in London they have a shop where they hook you up to a treadmill and monitor the way you run. You are then recommended trainers based on their results. Turns out I 'slightly pronate' whilst running and should buy trainers that redress this (didn't even know they existed!). Now I have trainers that fit so snugly.

    Maybe there's something similar close to where you live? Whether you prefer asics or not apparently you shouldn't buy leather trainers as they keep all the heat/ sweat in - makes sense!
