Unmotivated and relapsing!

So the short of it all.
Embarked on weight loss journey in Jan 2014 - got serious around March 2014. Since then I have been working out daily, and really changed how I had been eating, tracking, went mostly low carb/whole foods and really got my sugar addiction under control. By August 2014, I have lost around 20 pounds, and never felt the need to binge eat, thought twice about what I put in my mouth - I really thought I had come a long way, not physically but definitely mentally.
Last week I attended a wedding - I spent the week eating pretty bad and not exercising, still I did not overeat, or binge eat, just enjoyed the company of family and got to try some cool restaurants in a new city - anyway, coming back from the wedding, I decided to check out some of the pictures posted online and I was completely horrified and disappointed with myself - I don't look like i've lost much weight, I wish I looked much better in those photographs but I don't and since then (about 3 days ago) - I've lost all motivation, have been binge eating chocolate (also links to my emotional eating past) and I'm terrified I'm going back to my old ways after almost 9 months of thinking I'd made some permanent choices in my life...but I can't help it, I just feel sad, wish I'd made more progress at this point....sigh.
Help?

You are stronger than you know and capable of more than you've dreamed of. One slip up won't break you. Get back on track with the confidence that you did not fail. Everyone scrapes their knees. Every single one of us. You are STRONG. You CAN do it.0

Just think how much WORSE you'll feel if you put weight back on and then see those pictures. It's difficult and disheartening at times, I know. But no sense backsliding now! Your first paragraph showed how great you've been doing. Pick up where you left off and don't let this set back get to you.0

I am right there with you. Started getting serious in December, i'm down 25 pounds and have 25 to go and i do not see any difference in photos! i go over them obsessively. I've been told by others they can tell, but i don't see it. (i did notice though, after Halloween here at the office, that everyone looked bigger in the photos than they do to me in real life.)
i'm trying not to throw in the towel. With the holidays coming i know i don't want to get into a bad eating mode. we all slip up and i share your fright that it is so easy to fall into old habits and patterns, no matter the progress made. focus on how your body feels now when not eating great vs. how you were feeling. same with your energy levels. you don't want to gain it back and then have to start over!0 -
the past week doesn't dictate the next week. get up, brush yourself off, protect the progress you have made with good decisions and use those photos as motivation. You can either look the same, worse, or better in the holidays photos this year. which will it be?0

You can do this!!!! Just focus on the habit of Tracking food and exercise. Then focus on adjusting the numbers.
Then check out this post: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10020211/read-this-when-you-feel-low-or-think-about-quitting#latest0 -
Noooo, don't let this mess everything up. Put your foot down and start up again. Lean on friends here for help. There are always going to be downs for the ups. 20lbs is great. Even if you're not impressed with how you look on the outside you will initially have lost a lot of visceral fat internally and that's so important for health. You'll start to see it really make a difference if you keep it up now.0
