I am a 31 female who has had Epilepsy all my life.So for most of my life my weight was not a issue. But as I got older by body started to change. And it got a lot harder to lose weight.I use to be at my highest weight was 280.I have lost over 35 to 40 pounds. But with the high dose of 2,000 milligrams of seizure meds to control my seizures. It does make it hard for me. I do walk 30 to 40 minutes a day.I also have been using the tread mill. But its been a struggle for me since I have cut out a lot of junk food and soda all together. But being Epileptic its a struggle for me.I have no people helping me stay positive is hard.So I thought I would try this site and work hard towards my goal.I hope I can get there with more positive people around me.Who knows it my be the meds it self.I have looked on other site about Keppra.

Congrats on losing 40lbs! Its a great achievement. WTG.
I am a zero on meds. But I am sure your Doc must know better on the side-effects it has on the food-habits and metabolism.
Good that you have cut down the two main culprits - soda and junk food. Diet(Good foodhabits) is the main key for weight loss..exercise comes next only. I suppose you can continue with logging your food in MFP and stay under limits and walk in the treadmill till you come closer to your Goal weight. Once you are comfortable with your body(I mean good stamina), you can go for other exercise routines.

    Congrats on losing 40lbs!

I have had epilepsy for about 16 years now. My first seizure was when I was a sophomore in high school. I had two seizures almost 16 months ago. I am doing better since then but I was definitely scared to get back to exercising for many months.

Talk to your Neurologist and GP and see what he/she says about different exercises you can do and if the medicine is affecting your weight.

thanks to both of you.I am trying to walk more and and I am working on it with baby steps. It just takes time and a lot of hard work.If you put your heart and mind and body to it it comes off slowly. But I still have issues with my health which makes it hard for me.I am Epileptic so it makes it harder for me to lose it.And with no support from my parents and not a lot of friends.
