Does anyone know this? I am at 1200 calories a day, and I know the program adds workout calories back in.. do I eat those too?? So confused! Thanks!

You could donate them to your local food bank?0

In theory, yes. HOWEVER, unless you have a heart rate monitor, be aware that those calories may not be accurate. If you are choosing a workout from the MFP database, these are notorious for overestimating calories burned. Most people choose to eat back half of their exercise calories for this reason.0

Lemonlion- that was what I was JUST thinking!! I feel they are over estimated. I like the idea of only eating back HALF of those! Thanks for the great suggestion!!0

Even if you have a heart rate monitor, those calories may not be accurate. But in theory, yes, you should eat more if you exercise more than normal.0

Eat half back. See how that goes. If you need more, eat more.0

I was the same last year eating 1200 calories and always ate back exercise calories but only if they were from cardio.0

yea.....but def use a heart monitor to estimate calories0

That is the way this tool is designed...but you should account for some kind of estimation error...even with a HRM.0
