Why can't we share?

I got my wife to use MFP with me as we change our lifestyle. The fun is that we explore new recipes together! The not so fun is that we have to enter recipes separately or just quick add on one account. This is nuts! Why can't the developers allow recipe sharing, at least amongst friends? Do they even listen to the users?

    You can choose add food to the database, and so long as you put something in there to make it easily identifiable you should have no issues searching for it. For example "jeepskate's chocolate cake".

    I always use my first name on the front of all my recipes (no one has my same first name) so any time I type in my name, only all my recipes come up.

    On the computer version you can copy a food from a friends diary so if you both eat the food on the same day you only need to enter the recipe into one account then once logged into the dairy copy it.

    Not sure if that works on an app though

    I would actually recommend against this for personal recipes. The database is already ugly and in dire need of cleanup.
    Instead, you can have them copy the meal from your diary. I do this with my girlfriend all the time, and I've done it when a friend sent cookies.
    edit: They don't even have to be your "friend" on here, as long as they can see your diary. For instance, @jeepskate, I could copy a meal from your diary.

    Ideally, MFP would add the ability to copy your recipe into their own recipe list, but copying between diaries is the best option in terms of keeping the database cleaner and more user friendly for everyone while still keeping you from having to recreate a recipe.

    @ChrisM8971, it does.
