What am I doing wrong? Calling all personal trainers/nutriti

I've read this over and over but now it's my turn to ask for help - I haven't had any change weight wise or really measurement wise in a month. I'm stepping up my game but really need to start seeing something change because this is just down right discouraging! Any personal trainers or nutritionists have any feed back for me? I had a goal of 1300 cals per day but upped that today to 1390 because maybe I'm eating too little for my activity level? I exercise with circuit training once a day and then spend the rest of my day more or less on my feet as I'm a "stay at home mom" to a toddler when I'm not working (and when I am at work I'm on my feet for the majority of that as well). Our days are spent walking everywhere, running around the park, climbing stairs, cleaning the house etc etc but typically these are not activities that I log because I thought I would have an inaccurate idea of calories burned.
Any suggestions would be great - I need change! Thanks

Can I ask what your activity level is set at? I am a SAHM to 6, and am always running around. Once I changed my activity level from sedetary to active, and upped my calories I haven't had a problem. Getting stuck is very discouraging. I also invested in a BodyMedia Fit/ BodyBugg which tracks my actual calories burned and was surprised to learn that I burn a lot more calories a day then I thought I did. I can now customize my calorie deficit to stay below actual calories burned. Hang in there!0

make sure you are eating enough, in my experience the metabolism locking down is due to ' not enough calories' almost always0

I would love some advice; my doctor wanted me to gain weight because we were having trouble conceiving, I did and then we found out my weight was not the problem! Now I am trying to get some of the weight back off, but seem to keep going up and not down...very frustrating. I am a runner and have always been conscious of what I eat. This problem is making me feel very depressed.0

In the past 7 days I upped my calories, to I believe 1390 also, from 1200.....lost 2 lbs this week. I figured I would give it a couple weeks and see what happened. Glad I did!!!0

You might be at a point where there's nothing much more to lose. If i see your picture and guess your height, i'd think with your current weight you're already very healthy and low! 116 as a goal seems really unnecessary to me, even though it's your choice of course.. It'll be a hard goal to hit, there's hardly anything left to lose!
If youre about the same height as me (or taller, 5"4' was my estimate) your bmi was 22 to start with and you're trying to get to 19. 22 has been said to be the ideal value health wise.. why lose more?0 -
It's possible that you are already securely within the bounds of your "ideal weight" range based on your height. If you are then you may want to set a different goal than just "lose more weight". In your profile you have other goals (flat stomach, 5K, etc). Perhaps the answer is strength training, building muscle mass, actually (gasp) gaining weight in the form of core, lower, and upper body development? Have you had your fat percentage checked?0

I haven't had my body fat checked by a professional and I am in a healthy bmi range. I think part of the answer is investing in a heart rate monitor but in the mean time I was hoping to get off this plateau. From what I'm hearing is that I'm eating too few calories so hoping upping it by the 90 calories works in my favor though I do eat back my exercise calories (my activity level is set to active). My circuit training involves strength training with weights anywhere from 3lbs to 45lbs as I'm not afraid to gain in the form of muscle. My goal of 116lbs could be met or it may not be met - my ultimate goal would be a decrease in inches by I haven't found a way for MFP to track that in your profile just in your personal check ins.0
