Yes, they are! That's my problem with protein, too! The fat and salt that come with it. Frustrating.0

I'm not sure what you mean by "right" foods...all foods are good foods, some are just more nutritious or calorie dense than others.
Also, dietary fat is not bad, particularly if it's healthy fats (mono or polyunsaturated) like from olive oil, nuts and salmon.
As far as high protein and low calorie, any lean protein will do. I eat boneless, skinless chicken, lean cuts of pork, lamb or beef, and lots of seafood, and also eggs and some dairy sources like Greek yogurt and kefir.0 -
I do high fat.0

I don't need to eat any special food to lose weight. Definitely not low fat foods. I eat all the foods I like in quantities that fit my calorie goals and then fill up on veggies and fruit. I eat a lot of pork tenderloin, boneless chicken breasts and lean sirloin steak All very high in protein. And yummy!0

I'm currently eating turkey chili: 1 lb. ground turkey, 1 can each black and kidney beans and diced tomatoes. Add a chopped onion, some chopped peppers (I use pablano plus some sweet peppers and add one whole ghost pepper to stew) and some herbs/spices (ancho chili, paprika, cumin, oregano, cilantro, etc.) and enough water to nearly cover, boil it down with a pinch of cornstarch, and you've got six 12-ounce servings at 286 cals, 28 grams protein, 9 grams fiber and some other nutrients like iron and vitamin C. Use all white ground turkey and it's even leaner and lower cals.0

Is it just to make them feel worse? Do you gain something from that?

What is the point of bragging about your fat intake to people who choose not to or cannot eat a lot of fat?
To educate them that it's possible to lose body fat without a low-fat diet, and without eliminating any enjoyed foods. "SnuggleSmacks" said basically the same thing. Makes sense to me.0 -

It sounds like you are operating with outdated ideas.
Yes protein is vital and you need to eat enough of it. Overeating protein is far from good for you.
Fat is not bad. Low fat is bad. If you are concerned about eating saturated fats, even though the research is coming in more and more that saturated fat is not the health hazard we've been told for so long, you can still make most of your fats unsaturated fats simply by cooking most of your food with cold pressed extra virgin olive oil and other nut oils which have had the same treatment.
Some research has even shown that low fat diets but particular low fat high calorie diets cause high cholesterol - typically the ones that many people get fat on.
Anyway its generally obesity that causes cholesterol issues. Lose weight, get your cholesterol back in order, though of course there will be some people who will have high cholesterol regardless of what they eat because of the way their individual bodies are programmed.
Fat is essential for health and while the body can make some fats there are some that the body can't manufacture and we must eat it. That is particularly omega 3 fatty acids typically found in fatty fish like salmon, anchovies and sardines and various other foods but in smaller quantities.
Typically people who eat low fat foods tend to compensate for the loss of flavour by adding more sugar and more salt. More sugar leads to weight gain. More salt leads to other health problems especially when coupled with obesity.
That said, i don't have too much trouble finding low fat low calorie foods. I eat eggs, small quantities of cheese, small quantities of nuts and seeds, dairy, fish, seafood, lentils beans and chickpeas. When i'm eating like this my fat intake is moderate and i do not gain weight. I have actually lost most of the weight i need lose on this sort of diet.0 -

Eat 80% proteins, carbs, fats and then eat 20% of "right foods" like ice cream, cookies, cakes, chocolates, etc.0

Then why not just say that and skip the bragging?
The bragging doesn't teach anyone anything. If you think that people don't know that and want to help people by imparting knowledge, why not just do that?
Bragging about the food you eat...please.-1 -

She's not bragging. She's telling straight of what she eats.0
