Sudden decreased appetite.. concern?

I fell ill last week with a fever but after Tylenol and sleeping all day, I felt better the next day. I no longer feel sick but ever since the day I got the fever, I am eating a lot less than I used to(~1800 cals/day). I'm averaging about 800-1000 calories right now and I just don't feel hungry. I'm taking a multivitamin currently but I was wondering whether I can chalk up my decreased appetite to the sickness I had or whether I should start feeling concerned about malnutrition. Advice/thoughts?

If it has been a week, I would call your doctor. You should be better by now. Especially if all you had was a fever. You may have a virus that you are unaware of. Better safe then sorry.

The virus is likely still working its way through your system. See your doc if you are concerned.

I'd say that if your 'regular' appetite does not resume by the end of this week, then you need to go to the doctor. You might feel much better, but may not actually be better....like how they tell you to take 10 days worth of antibiotics even if you feel better on day

So you might still be recovering from whatever illness you had, but once you are a week or two out from that then I'd be concerned about any loss in appetite.
