Hi everone! I have a question about water, I know the recommended daily amount is 8 glasses, but is that really enough? I try to drink more and I've cut back on the Crystal Light, I'm trying to determine the amount I should be drinking daily.

I think you might need more if you work out a lot. Like yesterday I drank 6 cups during my workout alone. But on days I don't workout (which are rare) I struggle to get past 2. But everyone is different. If you drink more than that's not a bad thing as far as I'm concerned.

I had read somewhere recently that you should be drinking half of your weight, but in ounces. Ex: If you weigh 160, you should be drinking 80oz. But I don't know how accurate that was.

Here's an article from the mayoclinic about the topic:

I drink a lot more than 8 cups per day, and when I don't my energy level and weight loss suffer. My favorite water bottle holds 24 ounces and I try to drink that at each meal and snack and after working out. So most days I get somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-18 cups.

i have a 32 oz bottle, that I fill up 3 times during the day giving me approximately 96 oz of water. This may be extreme depending on your weight, but I upped my water intake over time, and will stay at 96 oz until i hit my goal.

Ive noticed that since I have started drinking more water I dont get nearly as many headaches than I once did.

Water water water..... I try drink 16oz before my main meals that way I don't over eat and I feel full after my meal. I try planning all my meals and water bottles a day in advance. That way I don't fall off and I get an idea of my calories before hand. I try to drink at least (5)- 16oz bottles a day. Sometimes I feel like an ocean. LOL
