Slimming world, is it worth going to a group?

Hi I am currently following a friends slimming world book and I have lost 1n 0lbs. However I am wondering if joining a group would be better. I have been to other groups such as weight watchers before and did not get much from it. I would be grateful of any advice!

Surrounding yourself with like-minded people is helpful. That's what makes this community so cool. Feel free to add me!

    Hello & Welcome to MFP!

With anything, you get what you put into it.

I think it's really difficult to suggest anything because you know yourself best. Start asking yourself some brutally honest questions. Like, why do I want to lose weight? How do I want to get there? What do I need to stay motivated? What type of support works best for me? What about Weight Watchers didn't work for me? The live meetings? The points systems? The general concept? etc.

Once you've teased out some of the basics then you can seek what will work best for you in your lifestyle.

Generally, support never hurts. You just need to figure out what kind of support you need - be it virtual (online) or in person (physical group).

Have a general plan of how to get to your goal then assess what kind of support you need to reach that goal.

    Best of luck to you!
