Hair Annoyance

Ok I'd like to clarify i am a male which is possibly a silly question coming from me but i have medium-ish length hair (reaches past my nose) and normally my hair is styled in a quiff or slicked back manner but exercise and sweat usually destroy that structure and I'm left with my hair repetitively striking me in the face. It isn't so bad when my hair is slicked back but my hair falls to the side and it isn't a great look.

I do wear a hat sometimes but the approaching summer is making it unbearable to wear a hat during exercise. My hair isn't quite long enough to be put in a samurai/top knot style.

I know most people would think just cut your hair if it's such a nuisance but it took soo long just to grow to this length, I'm not all that ready to part ways with it. Just asking if anyone is in the same boat as me and would be kind enough to share some tips to deal with it.

Get a do-rag or bandana to tie on. Lighter than a hat and will keep your hair out of your face. Also easy to throw in the laundry after getting sweaty.

My son wears his hair longish (past his eyes in front and to his shoulders in back). He wears stretchy headbands a la Rafael Nadal or Sergio Ramos when playing sports. Might have to get used to the 'Hey! Look at the girl!" jeers, but whatever...

I have an asymmetrical cut, with one side chin length and the other side about ear length. I usually just try to take any pieces that would be inclined to go in my face and bobby pin them back. But I'm a girl, so you may not fee comfortable with that look. (though I'm of the opinion, you're working out, not modeling a high-fashion runway, so who cares!)

I live in a pretty hipster neighborhood, and many guys have the same type of haircut you described OP, I see a lot of them using sweatbands and bandannas in the gym.

Yup headband or bandanna. Headsweats (my favorite) make some unobtrusive ones in black or white. Buffs are longer and have some funky patterns.

Try a headband and bobby pins. Get ones that match your hair colour. Synchro swimmers use gelatin...

Mine's long enough for a ponytail, but the stray hairs get pinned down with metal barrettes. I'm with the others suggesting head bands.
