I still await the day when basketball will return to Seattle. It will happen and sooner rather than later. The bad thing is Balmer is now all up in LA's junk.

    Spurs for life however.

I certainly hope so. ;) No offense. LOL

No offense taken! Randolph and Gasol DID destroy Raptors, but you guys were missing a ton of dudes so Raps still pulled it out.

I almost had a heart attack when I saw their announcement at the beginning of the game! I think they paid someone to poison them. LOL They said they actually went to the hospital for a bit before they were sent home. For that many guys, I wonder if it was food poisoning!

There actually used to be a conspiracy theory around Raptors Sunday afternoon games. They were one of the few (only?) teams to have 1Pm (EST) Sunday Games (none this season tho).

The theory was that the opposing team would be out late Saturday enjoying the Toronto nightlife (apparently NBA players refer to it as "White Vegas") and then would be slow for Sundays game. Not sure there was much to it tho because not sure their record was any better in those games. :D

Remember when Howard, Love, Aldridge and Blake Griffin pulled out of Team USA for a variety of reasons and all the talk was about "zomg who are Team USAs bigs going to be???"

Although small sample size this early in the season, you could argue that the bigs they ended up taking - Boogie Cousins and Anthony Davis - are already better than the above list.

It's been a decade since the "Malice at the Palace". Here's a recap if no one's seen it:

    Ten years! Time flies...

Here is another great recounting of it:

Grantland Features An Oral History of Malice at the Palace

Probably not a popular opinion but I was and still am, firmly on the side of the players.

Sidenote: If you are a big basketball fan, Zach Lowe from Grantland is probably the best NBA writer in the world right now.
