Well after so many years of complaining, crying, whining and all the rest I am finally doing something about it. Now I admit that this isnt the first time that I have said that, but I am sure hoping it will be the last. In the past I have made other efforts towards losing weight and I have become depressed when I don't see any results sooner rather than later. I'm definately one of those ppl who are in need of instant gratification.
Compared to some of you I don't have as much weight that I want to lose. Just between 10-15kgs, but I dont think it is the number that matters. We each have a number we want to get to and sometimes it is the smaller numbers that are harder to budge. Trust me I have been trying!!
So I came home from a family holiday a week ago and while we ate well, we had plenty of exercise on the trip. So imagine my dismay when the scales weighed 2kgs more than when I left. I was devestated.I know that may sound melodramatic, but self image is a real issue for me.
So I went online and found this app for my phone. I have tried cal counting before using an online site like this, but it was a pain logging in all the time. I wanted real time access to make decisions there and then when I was in a restaurant or out doing the shopping.
I am one week in and I have lost 2 kgs (5lbs). I am trying not to get to hyped up at this point, just trying to stay focused. I will admit that entering food to the diary has almost become a relgion for me. I have also noticed that I have been feeling a little hungry the past few days, but I think that is because I have stayed up later than usual and having reached my daily cal limit, there isnt room for a late night snack. My body needs to adjust and so do I to my way of thinking. I haven't got the regular excercise down yet, but baby steps.
Anyhow this is me. Nice to me you all. And kudos to all of us
