Average Daily Calories over a Time Period

Question: If I've estimated that I can lose 1 pound a week by eating 2400 calories a day, will the plan work if my calories totals for each day vary quite a bit, but average out to 2400 a day over a given period?
For example: Day 1 2000 Calories, Day 2 2600 calories, Day 3 2600 calories, Day 4 2200 calories, Day 5 2600 calories, Day 7 2400. So, if I'm doing my math correctly this would average out to 2400 calories a day for a week. I find some days my hunger is satisfied with 2000 calories for example, but the next day it may take 2600+ to be satisfied.
Are these fluctuations OK, just so they average out to the correct number?

Yes. I think of my whole diet and exercise plan on a weekly basis rather than a daily one. There is no magical reset button on calories burned at midnight.0

Yes, as long as at the end of the week it meets the deficit required you are good to go.0
