Question from a new person

Hi everyone. I am new. This is my first day. I noticed when I tracked my exercise that it added the calories I burned to the total calories I can eat. Do you all usually eat the calories from your exercise? I'm not clear if I should or not. Thanks!

i always eat atleast half of mine back. i work out at night so i increase my calorie intake a little with each meal and leave some for a snack after working out. It is perfectly fine and actually advised to eat your calories back on this sight because MFP already factors in a deficit when determining your goal. you have to fuel your body for the workouts you do0

Thanks so much! I'm still trying to figure this all out. :-)0

Hi,
You should try to eat at least some of them. MFP already has a calorie deficit built in, so you need to make sure you are getting enough "fuel."
You should check out the frequently asked questions in this section, and you should be able to get a lot of answers to your questions as a newbie
Good luck with your journey!

YES YES YES ...MFP already gives you your calorie deficit. Eat back your calorie in lean protein and healthy snacks.0

Read this for some great info: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/229885-a-handbook-for-your-body
(Especially the first link in that post, about how MFP works. It explains all about eating exercise cals )0 -
It depends sometimes yes and sometimes no. However I noticed that I will do more exercising if I think I can eat more calories at my next meal. Surprisingly it is motivating me to exercise more than less.0
