Have you changed your goal weight?

My original goal was 160, until I realized that would still be overweight. Now it's 145, then when I hit it I'll see where I want to go from there. No lower than 130.0

5'5", 155 lbs., heaviest i've been all my life. my goal is 118. i picked that number only because when i worked out with a personal trainer some years ago, that's the weight he wanted me at so i just use it as a marker. however a couple of years ago i got down to 132 and was able to get into size 2 jeans. i'll honestly be happy once i reach 139 lol however can't get too crazy though.0

I have changed mine several times and I don't have a lot to lose, but when I did, I set small goals, like 5 pounds then I'd reach that and then set it for five pounds more and so on. I found that by making my goals small each time I felt much more sure of myself "yes I did it now I am going to do it again" the amount of incentive reaching small goals made for me to go for more was great.0

When I started, I was all about losing pounds. Now I want the recomp, which is a very slow process and tends to get frustrating. Sill IN!0

My goal changes all the time, depending on different factors...healthy BMI, more firm, less flab, fitting into clothes better and so on. I don't know if I'll ever be satisfied.0

Yes. I'm 5 3' and started at 201lbs. My long term goal has been 140, for like, 15 years, longer than I can remember. Coming down I realised that I don't like how I look still, I don't look how I thought I'd look, so I've changed it to 126. I'm at 139 and I still hate how I look, so 140 definitely isn't where I want to be.0

I can totally agree with the previous poster! That's almost exactly where I am and how I feel!0

Yep.
At my highest I was around 320lbs on a 5'10" body.
The lowest I've ever seen on a scale was 188lbs, over 10 years ago in college. I got lower, but I tended to not weigh myself back then, so not sure by how much. But even though I was normal weight, with nice muscle tone, I was never truly lean.
My goal weight was 175lbs. But I'm a medium framed man (despite growing up thinking I was a larger, more "big boned" frame) and I want to finally get very lean. I've adjusted my low goal weight down to 155lbs. I could lean out higher than that, but I want to be prepared mentally if I need to press lower. I think obese and overweight people tend to have goal weights that are still too high. It seems a lot of us who are, or use to be, really fat have trouble conceptualizing lower weights that would be perfectly healthy and reasonable for us. I won't be making that mistake.0 -
I probably will as I get closer to goal...I chose goal based on the "normal" range charts. I do know that 145 is what I weighed when I was in the ARMY. Back then I was considered overweight by the scale, but always passed being "taped." I look back at pictures from that time and I look anorexic; hip bones jutting way out, in a not very attractive way, and ribs looking like a xylophone. As I get into the normal range I will review my goals and settle on a number where I feel, and look, my best!0

I have just begun my journey. I started out at 107 kg and for my height of 5'6 upper limit is 73 kg I think. But currently my goal weight is 75. After that I will decide further what to do. Once I enter the normal range of bmi however I am planning to stop relying on scale numbers and look more into losing size.0

I'm just starting (well about for the 10th time). Each time I've started I've had a goal 135, 150, 160, etc. But now I've decided to eat 1500 calories a day. It allows me to enjoy life, eat how I would like to eat in type and amount of food, and not be hungry. I'm not willing to lower that so whatever weight I land at will be the perfect number for me. But I am secretly hoping for 150. I'm 5'8".0

I've changed my goal multiple times. When I started here at 214 pounds, my goal was 165. I got there and lowered it to 150. Got there and decided to bulk. Slowly over 13 months gained to 180, and am pretty happy here. Now my goals are power related - I have zero intention of losing more then a couple pounds, and instead am focused on increasing my lifts0

I started at just over 21 stone and my goal weight is 16 stone. I'm currently 18.3 stone and if I'm not happy at my goal I will lose more. I'm 6ft 3 so I don't want to be too skinny, but I also want to completely lose my fat bits. And I just realised I hit 3 stone today, I'm not good at math apparently0

My current goal is 220, but I already have a feeling that I'm going to be changing that for the lower when I get close to that number. After getting almost a month into this Stronglifts weight routine, and liking it so much, I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll want to cut all the way down to like 180-170 (I am 6'1"), and then go through a slow bulk back up to the 190 - 200 range.
We'll see when 220 gets here sometime around mid-summer.0 -
Not really. I originally set it to 130 lbs (with a 130-135lb range in mind). I'm now down to ~140, which looks good to me, so I'm maintaining for a while. I'll probably cut a little come spring time, but 130 is still my "bottom" number, since I know there's no need for me to go below that (I've got a nice amount of LBM, I want to keep it, TYVM). So, yeah, 130 (ish).0
