Hi, I am a single mom with a 8-yrs-old son, living in Budapest, Hungary, Europe.
I am 182cm tall and currently cca.113kg. Current BMI: 33,81

My plan is to reach 85kg (BMI:25,66).

Before the pregnancy I was 95kg, I had a great time with that weight. Through the pregnancy period I gained weight only in the last 4 months, 17kg, but I thought that is only because of the baby.
After giving birth I felt okay to have babyweight, I was cca.103kg, and thought the overweight will melt. But throughout the past years I gained more and more weight.

There were some failed tries to lose weight, as I always thought sports are only for fanatic people, and I can lose weight only by eating less. It did not work. Then I thought I will try sports at home, I did, for two weeks. Then we went on holidays and once I quit sports I could not start again.

This time I would like to introduce myself as I know that the motivation can come from the inside and also from the comminity.
Now I eat less (and not eating any type of food) and do aerobics as well (55min in the morning, 20 min in the evening). I really hope this works.

I would be happy to hear from you.

Feel free to add me. I am 105kg and hoping to get down to a reasonable weight. I am eating less and doing bootcamp and cycling.

    Hi,
So it is not only me. It may sound weird, but I am happy to see that.
I am not really aware of bootcamp trainings, but I will read about that.
How long have you been started?

My idea is to see SOME results before Christmas. I know I cannot change everything in such a small period of time, but it would motivate me to look better on the family pictures. :) And I would be happy to look okay in my swimming dress on next year's summer holiday... :)

    aniqa109,
My birthday is the 2nd of January. It is a great idea to set your birthday as a milestone. What do you do to lose weight?

Hi! I have a 5 year old, 3 year old and 6 month old. I lost all the weight between pregnancies, and I'm now about 86kg maybe and need to get back to 70kg.

I go to the gym around 6 times a week and do personal training, spinning, kettlebells, bootcamp, core stability, aerobics, jogging......

My aim is to be back in my pre-pregnancy clothes (UK size 10/12) by my baby's 1st birthday on May 1st.

My son is going to be 8 in a few months. I've been at it for almost a year, so I've lost all of my "baby" weight, but I still have a long way to go!

I like to lift weights. :)

    Hi there and Welcome

I've lost most of my baby weight from my children now and my youngest is 10 :grinning:

    it feels great

    keep going

the trick is calories in less than calories out but the exercise helps a huge amount with giving you a zest for life, and higher calorie allowance

hiya my son turned 20 a few weeks ago and I am still losing the baby weight plus some more ha ha.

you don't have to work out everyday to make improvements. I worked out what I could "commit" to which for me was 3 times a week and anything extra a bonus. I make sure that I get the most from any workout I do.

logging on here is the biggest commitment even on those days that are not so good!

set yourself some goals short medium and long term and believe in the process and your ability to change.

and get some active MFP buddies

This was me last Summer with my 2 and 4 year old, just before I got pregnant again, and what I'm aiming for by Summer 2015! I'm not far off, that green dress fits me now, it's just a bit tight!

Exercise for me is the key, especially strength training. Plus I have active kids and we walk everywhere.
