Hello hello
I'm looking for some Thinspiration photos/quotes/stories from people.
I'm just starting my weightloss (again! -.-)
and I'm thinking of putting some photos up and quotes everywhere so I don't lose track of my goal.
Anyone out there have any?

Perhaps you weren't aware of this, but the word 'thinspiration' is heavily associated with pro-ana/mia sites and I would hope that we'd not be promoting that sort of self-destruction on MFP. :sad:0

I certainly didn't take it that way @atl... @Emmy, I knew what you meant. I think thinspiration is a good word, I like it And, I'm certainly not pro-ana or whatevertheheck lol.... It's only associated with that kinda stuff when YOU make the connection. Anyways, my Largest Weight pics help me stay motivated, but also all my thin clothes. Oh and mommy's with multiple kids and older ladies who are fit help inspire me as well. Good luck!!0

Sorry didn't mean to associate 'thinspiration' with pro ana/mia at all. I just think of it as inspiration to be thin and fit..0

I keep a seriously unflattering photo of me when I was much bigger on my fridge door- it helps me think if I really need to open that door and eat anything!0

I'm glad you didn't mean it that way. That's unhealthy. we get people on here all the time that are borderline too skinny already that want to lose like 30 pounds and talk about how they want all their bones to stick out and stuff.
Just be aware that that term IS in fact very commonly associated with anorexia, so if you use it people may assume you are.
If you want to be thin but healthy, not scrawny and weak, your best bet is to incorporate weight lifting into your exercise routine. You will NOT get big and bulky, you need EXCESS calories to do that, and I am assuming you are eating at a calorie deficit in order to lose a couple of pounds.
The best thing for you would be to set your goals at ONE pound per week, and work out, and make sure you EAT all your calories because eating too little can be just as bad as eating too much.
Let me use me as an example for you.
I started eating 1200, lost ten pounds pretty quick but then it stopped and I was tired and cranky all the time, starving! I bumped it up to 1500 and the next ten fell off. The last few took months. I had to bump up to 1600 and really dial in the nutrition and cut out most foods that weren't clean and natural. It's 90% nutrition and 10% exercise at that point.
Then I was 103 lbs (I'm 5'2" so that is the low end of the healthy range) I was scrawny though, and looked and felt weak. I could wear my size 1 jeans but still wasn't happy. I started weight training. Lift heavy, build some muscle. Muscle is denser and more compact than fat, and muscle burns fat at rest, therefore upping your metabolism. I now weigh 107 and lost half an inch on my waist and both thighs, same size 1 jeans fit BETTER even though I weigh 4 lbs more, since that 4 pounds was muscle and I lost some bulky lumpy fat.
You can do this. But you need to work out, and eat healthy food, and enough of it. Think of your body as a car and food as fuel. Don't run your tank on empty, you won't get very far.
Friend me, and I will work with you and get you that strong, tight , firm body you want without doing anything unhealthy or any crazy "fad diet" that will just backfire and cause you to gain when you stop it. This is a lifestyle change, teaching you how to have a healthy fit body for life, it is not a quick fix diet that you will "go off of" when you're "done". You're not "done" till you're dead. Healthy for life!0
