Minimum chance to give a change in diet?

I have seen success with the amount of calories I eat now, around 1,300. However, when I change my goals using the guided option with MFP, it gives me around 1,400. TDEE says my BMR is about 1,500 and my TDEE -20% is 1,676.

I tried to change my calories to 1,400 last month and gave it a week. At the end of the week, I had maintained my weight. Does this mean that 1,400 is the amount my body will maintain at? I jog multiple times a week, at least three, usually four or five (never log it on MFP as I've read it is not accurate). I sit at school most of the day but then have a part-time job where I am up and walking.

Any advice would be appreciated.

    You need to wait more than a week to get any dependable results. Continue on the 1400 for at least another 2-3 weeks THEN see where you are.

    It's hard to say after just one week. You might still be losing, just at a slower rate. If I had to guess, if you are getting the exercise in, I think you will keep losing at 1400 calories per day. Give it more time to see the trend.

    One week isn't long enough to learn anything meaningful about a diet plan or level of calories. I would say a month minimum.
