Unexplained gain water or real?

I have not weighed myself in a few months but I have been tracking my calories and stuff and I am 160, and I went on the scale and it said 175, my jeans still fit good, and I have indents on skin for water retention. Last night I was drinking a bit and then had a very salty dinner with fried fish and stuff like that. I also started working out moderately and got me sore, I have not been drinking too much water, and have had more high carb diet lately. The only weight I see is in the stomach and it has indents when I jab into it. What is this?

TDEE is 2300, I have had around 2100 give or take a day. I do all resistance workout training0

I hover around a few lbs. 15 lbs IMO would be a lot of water. Is it the same scale?0

Different scale. I have been eating 2142 calories a day. I am going to college in a big campus so I walk every day for like 15 minutes and 3 times a week I do resistance training for 15 minutes. I've had a lot of carbs in diet, well over 275 grams0

....but it IS extremely difficult for anyone to answer that. My only advice would be to keep doing what you're doing and weigh in every so often to see if you are gaining, losing, or maintaining. With no other information, i don't know what else you could do. Doesn't sound like you know the answer, either, lol

There can be some difference between the scales. Can you start weighing yourself on one scale more frequently and measuring/weighing your food? (I have to get in the habit of weighing my food). It will help you notice trends faster. It really is hard to know what is going on on-line with very little info.
If you really are that swollen (15 lbs of water your shoes wouldn't fit and you would be obviously bloated) you should see a dr.
If you want to post your info to calculate your TDEE someone here could re-calculate it for you to re-check it. I use the mfp calculator because I am not consistent with my exercise.0 -

do you? if it's different scales you don't know
lets say you do weigh more - so what - your clothes fit you say - do you feel fatter? do you measure bigger?
as for the poke it and it's water weight ... seriously? that's not how water weight works, it's on a cellular level - if you poke it it's either bloating (gas) or fat
if you have no difference to your clothes fitting and measurements don't worry about it
