Are you stretching before and after you work out?? When I do about 5 min of stretching before and after my work I'm not as sore. That might help.. Hope the soreness goes away..0 -
Short-term? Depends. You can ease soreness by warming up and cooling down well. Stretch after a workout, even for just five minutes. It makes a tremendous difference. If you hit the workout hard, you may be sore for a day or two.
If you don't have time to stretch afterwards, stretch whenever you have time. Stretch while watching TV, in the morning, before bed, wherever you can fit it in. It also helps the shape the muscles and ease psychological strain.
If you mean long-term, if you'll be sore after every workout, the answer is not likely. The soreness will decrease until you don't notice it anymore. That's the point at which you should either workout more and change it up.0 -
I am not as sore as I was when I first started, but I still get sore. If you aren't getting sore at all it's time to up your workouts a little bit! I used to get sore to the point that I had to take a day off after almost every day I worked out, now I get a little sore, but not to the point where it keeps me from working out very often.0

Depending on the intensity of your workout, try drinking 8 oz. of lowfat chocolate milk within 45 minutes after finishing. It helped with my soreness.0

When you lift weights, you are tearing your muscle fibers and they then repair themselves on your rest days. This is how your muscles grow bigger. I have been working out for years and ALWAYS feel pain after my leg day...but I lift very heavy. If you need to alleviate some of the pain, glutamine can help with muscle recovery. Also vitamin E can help with muscle soreness and I would recommend investing in some icy hot. If you are no longer feeling any pain after a workout, this doesn't mean you aren't working your muscle. But once you can perform 12 reps of an exercise without struggle, it is time to increase your weight. Hope this helps.

Getting in the whirlpool and then the steam room for 10 minutes each after working out makes a huge difference for me.0
