Unfortunately I have health issues and not able to do much exercising, except maybe to do a little walking.

    80% of weight loss is through diet and successful deficit management. Focus on being good at that. Read the stickies on the forums for all the usual tips and common traits of a successful diet.

    Walking is excellent exercise, so manage what you can and good luck.

    I personally find this site and the mobile app a great way to monitor the split between carbohydrates, protein and fats. When I was working all-hours and unable to do as much exercise as I'd like I tried adjusting the ratios between these groupings. By focussing on reducing my carbohydrate intake and increasing protein I noticed that I would lose weight quite steadily, with maybe only a quick break out of the office each day walking for about 30-mins. As long as I didn't reduce my carbohydrate intake too low I didn't feel bad (and actually felt more energetic) following this approach. Perhaps that's something that might work for you too?

    MFP is a really good tool so I hope you get plenty of benefit from it, even if it's just to get support when you need it.
