I don't know how exact you like to be, but with something like broccoli I usually just log a cup of it. It has so few calories that unless you cooked it with some oil (obviously not if boiled), being off a little isn't going to hurt.

Yeah, if you didn't measure it eyeballing is fine. Also, if it's an entry with lots of confirmations it's probably safe--since broccoli is so low in calories I wouldn't worry too much.

If you want to be more precise, the good entries for stuff like vegetables are (as with so many things) the MFP input entries without the asterisk. Ideally you'd weigh it raw and use the "broccoli, raw" entry, and don't need to mess with how much water it takes up cooked or the like.

The main reason I dislike the cooked entries is that they are input by users and can be wacky--like some people include other ingredients without noting or get the numbers from some obviously insane source.

Search for "Broccoli - cooked, boiled, drained" then either measure by weight or use a measuring cup, then choose the correct portion size.

Thank you everyone!!! You have been so helpful. It says like 7-8" long but what about the how thick it is, because they all very in size. But your right, since its so low it really shouldnt be a problem :)

The entry CyberTone linked is probably what you want. Then you can choose cups or other ways of estimating size.

I only eat 1-2 ounces of florets at a time; so I just weigh raw - 1 oz. = 10 calories

You can always enter your own if searching for the non-asterisked entry will get old. That list gets long, especially if you eat broccoli on a regular basis.
