Joining groups

Am I doing something wrong? I click to join a group, and then select "OK" when the box pops up but MFP still tells me I don't belong to any groups....? Thank you for any help!

    I just joined one, I hit okay when the box pops up - if I go to the message board page at the very bottom (I had to scroll down) the group was there
