From Scrawny to Brawny - A total transformation

I'd always been interested in the health & fitness lifestyle, but never truly dedicated myself to this journey.

A couple half-hearted training sessions every week, not really knowing what to do with my diet other than what I'd read in 'Flex Magazine', and just an overall lack of effort had always left me wondering what I was doing wrong, and why I was never seeing results.

Well about a year and a half ago I decided it was time to stop slacking off and make something of my physique.
I began SERIOUS training & dedication to my nutrition, with hopes of preparing for the 2015 NPC season where I plan to compete in the Men's Physique division.

A year and a half later I'm proud to say I'm that much closer to my goal. There is still much work to be done, but I couldn't be happier with where I am today.

I went through 1 solid bulk/cut cycle involving a 10 month bulk that yielded roughly 33lbs in that time frame, followed by a slow cut (almost recomp) for 2 months.

At that point I basically recomped for a while, now currently coming out of my 2nd bulk and heading into a 16 week cut/contest prep period.

You look pretty good man, and I don't mean that in a weird way. Of course you looked thin before, I, on the other hand am the opposite and look like a potato.

It's very advantageous to come from a lean frame and build upwards.

I have the utmost respect for anyone starting off heavier who loses the weight and builds a respectable physique.

And of those that do, a lot of them have a history of sports, athletics, or weight lifting, so it's a bit easier for them to get back into shape. I've never been in any way athletic. Had asthma as a kid, and so tended to avoid any kind of exercise, or would find a way to skate through PE.
