Hey guys! I am 25 full time wheelchair user (Spina bifida).
I was looking for an core exercise in a seated position since i can't do the traditional core exercises but i didn't find anything online about it. Does anyone have an idea on what i could do to strengthen my core muscles?

I need to correct myself from the original post not that i didn't find ANY seated exercises but all exercises i DID find did involve some kind of movement i can't do because of my back.0

Thanks!those two exercises are the only i do for it (but gets quite boring just doing just that tbh thats why i am looking for possible alternatives) another one i do depending on how i feel while in my chair i bent forward till my chest and knees touch and go slowly back up and if i am feeling really awesome i add resistance with weight/bands. Just want to figure out another way to workout.

Have you thought about finding a physical therapist to help you figure out a workout routine? Many moons ago, while I was recovering from an accident, I had a physical therapist who understood my limitations and worked with me to plan an exercise routine. Maybe check with your doctor and see if s/he thinks this is a good idea?0

Been there, done that. My therapist said that i do great just doing that i could do sets or add resistance by bands/weights to make it harder for me but since i did that i ended up doing 25+ sets which takes me about an hour + during winter when i add 30 minutes of cardio to keep my activity level up it takes even longer. just want to make it as short as possible do to lifestyle and work i don't want get up at 4.30am just to get my workout in.

I have Spina Bifida too and I'm paralyzed from my waist down. I can't find anything that shows just plain old seated exercises without the person moving moving either their entire body, using their legs to push up, or anything else I can't do. With all of that and having a bad case of scoliosis it makes things so hard.0
