I started this journey at 295 and, as of this morning, I am down to 224. Woohoo! :D I still have a way to go but thought it was time to take a look at how far I've come. I don't have any pics of me at my highest weight since I used to avoid cameras like the plague but here I am in January of 2014 at 275 lbs:

These were taken in September when I was around 255 lbs:

Here I am today:

My visceral fat is now in the "normal" range, my blood sugars have been in a normal range for over six months, and I can fit into clothing that's been in the back of my closet for several years! I look forward to exercise (just about every day) and I no longer feel deprived when I make healthy food choices. This has truly become a way of life for me and I'm excited to continue to make progress towards my goals.

    Great job!!! You look incredible!
  • Great job! I have 16 pounds to catch up to where you are at!

Have you had any points where you felt like you were stalling, or simply were losing weight MUCH slower? if so, how did you break through?

    Thanks!

  • You are amazing. I hope to be where you are someday. I started at 291 lbs in September this year. I've lost 20 lbs thus far and it feels great. I can only imagine how wonderful you feel. Congrats and keep it up! You look fantastic!

Yes, I have definitely had weeks where it seemed like my progress had stalled. I usually look back at my food logs to see if there were any new things that I may have tried that could be working against me and make adjustments, as needed. It's also usually a sign that I need to increase my water intake. Other than that, I just keep plugging away and trust that things will eventually get back on track.

I have a scale that measures my visceral fat, total body fat %, total skeletal muscle % and my BMR. I like having the extra data because I can see my body fat numbers go down even when my weight isn't. It helps me know that things are still on track.
